Good Morning! Commerce City Schools is a Charter System. As a Charter System, each school has a Governance Team composed of administrators, parents, teachers, and community members. The team manages a small budget, provides feedback on school policies, reviews the School Improvement Plan, and participates in discussions regarding curriculum and resources. The team meets 6 times per year typically after school for approximately 1 hour. Each member serves a 4 year term. There will be a parent representative opening for the 24-25 school year. If you are interested in being a part of the team or in nominating another parent, please complete the Google Form linked by Friday, May 10. An election will be held following May 10 per Charter policy. Please reach out to Mrs. Lund (mandy.lund@commercecityschools.org or 706-335-5587) with any questions. Thank you! https://forms.gle/1rWuu7UYGbDMZd6a6

Friday, May 3rd, will be the final day of this school year for which meals may be charged without a positive account balance to support the charged amount. This is necessary to enable our Cafeteria Managers to assess their list of owed balances, notify households and close out the school year with zero negative balances. Beginning Monday May 6th students will not be able to purchase meals without payment or an account balance to support the charge. Please put sufficient money on your child’s account or send payment with them for the purchase of meals. Positive balances on the final day rollover to the next school year OR you may request a refund by e-mail or in writing to the School Nutrition Director. Positive balances for graduating seniors or students leaving the district can also be donated to our Angel Fund. The Angel Fund consists of community donated funds and is used to help families needing assistance paying their child’s school meal account.
